"The evenko foundation has made it its mission to encourage young people in the practice of performing arts. The evenko foundation program offered in eight secondary schools of the Montreal region focuses on singing, guitar playing and visual arts. As such, the students can develop their talent, artistic creativity, confidence and determination," added Roman Oryschuk, Chairman of the Board of the evenko foundation. "These classes are free of charge for the students, the only condition being that they persevere in school. We notice during each edition of the evenko foundation Show that with support and encouragement, all these young people can excel, stay in school and experience unforgettable moments in the company of very generous artists."
The evenko foundation Show brings together students from the evenko foundation program of the Pointe-aux-Trembles, Daniel-Johnson, Dalbé-Viau, Georges-Vanier, Saint-Laurent, Cavelier-de-La Salle, Antoine-de-St-Exupéry and Père-Marquette secondary schools who have successfully completed their school year.
Since 2010, the evenko foundation Program offers free singing, guitar and scene oriented visual arts classes to more than 200 young Montrealers facing the risk of dropping out of school, giving them access to supervision and improved future prospects.
The third edition of the evenko foundation Show presented by Desjardins, in collaboration with Bell, Solotech and Ticketmaster took place under the honorary presidency of Martin Brunelle, Vice-President, Strategy and Innovation Office at Desjardins Group.
