The Festival international de la chanson de Granby (FIGC) mission is to discover, develop and promote the next generation of French song from here and elsewhere.
The FIGC has presented the 48th edition of its contest this year. During the last 47 years, the festival has seen on its stages Isabelle Boulay, Dede Fortin, Luke Larochellière, Sylvie Bernard, Marie Denise Pelletier, Jean Leclerc (Leloup), Luce Dufault, Lynda Lemay, Marie-Jo Thério Nelson Minville, Mario Chenart, Térez Montcalm, Nancy Dumais, Véronique Dicaire, Geneviève Bilodeau, Jean-François Breau, Johanne Lefebvre, Nicolas Lelièvre, Dumas, Tomas Jensen, Kain, Pierre Lapointe, Damien Robitaille, Alexandre Désilets, Joce, Patrice Michaud, Lisa Leblanc, Alex Nevsky and many others. Nearly fifty years of discovering, developping and promoting emerging talent with the results that we know today.
This year, the foundation took interest in the Carrefour Chanson of the festival, a training program for the semi-finalists that is given by professionals of the music industry. We wish them the best of luck!
