Montreal, April 19, 2018 – 200 students from the evenko foundation Program will share the stage of Place des Arts’ Théâtre Maisonneuve with Marc Dupré, La Bronze, Ludovick Bourgeois, Travis Cormier and Margau on Saturday, May 12 during the evenko foundation Show, a presentation of Desjardins in collaboration with Bell and Ticketmaster.

“evenko is extremely proud to support the  education and participate in the talent development of all these young people with one-off donations and unifying activities such as the foundation Show,” says Jacques Aubé, Executive Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer of evenko.

“One of the main goals of the evenko foundation is to encourage young people to discover a passion, to continue their studies and to develop their self-esteem in a context where creativity and perseverance are highlighted,” adds the president of the evenko foundation, Roman Oryschuk. “In that sense, the foundation Show is the perfect vehicle to allow the students to enjoy a unique experience that they won’t forget anytime soon.”

Directed by Olivier Loubry, the foundation Show will bring together the students from the evenko foundation Program of the Pointe-aux-Trembles, Daniel-Johnson, Dalbé-Viau, Georges-Vanier, Saint-Laurent, Cavelier-de-La Salle, Antoine-de-St-Exupéry et Père-Marquette high schools who have successfully completed their school year. The budding artists, who prepared themselves over 22 weeks, will thus have the chance to rub elbows on stage with some of the biggest names of the local pop music industry during a particularly impressive year-end concert.

Since 2010, the evenko foundation Program offers free singing, guitar and scene oriented visual arts classes to more than 200 young Montrealers facing the risk of dropping out of school, giving them access to supervision and improved future prospects.
